“Friendship Connection” is an outreach ministry of Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church. Our goal is to provide support and empowerment to all Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) children and youth (with emphasis on low-income families) through their social, physical, mental and spiritual development. We aim to utilize the resources of our church to support MISD.
MFBC Resource Team
In 2009, we would like to enhance our relationship with the MISD schools. Pastor Terry Turner is Senior Pastor and has worked in a number of initiatives involving youth such as Dallas Can Academy, juvenile probation officer for Oklahoma County, and currently oversees the award winning community track team (the MFBC Striders). Joe Odom is the School Liaison; he has worked for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes developing relationships with school athletic programs in Dallas County. Rev. Leon Moore is the Minister of Education and oversees the Friendship Connection ministry.
