A successful 2009 Marriage Conference held November 7, 2009

Do you remember the first time you fell in love? That junior high or elementary school "crush" stirred your affections with little or no effort on your part. We use the term "falling" in love to describe the phenomenon of suddenly discovering our emotions have been captured by someone delightful.
Unfortunately, our society tends to make us think that all loving relationships should be equally effortless. Thus millions of couples, Christians included, approach their marriages certain that the emotions they feel will carry them through any difficulty. And millions of couples quickly learn that a good marriage does not automatically happen.
Otherwise intelligent people, who would not think of buying a car, investing money, or even going to the grocery store without some initial planning, enter into marriage with no plan of how to make their marriage succeed. But God has already provided the plan, a set of blueprints for a truly godly marriage. His plan is designed to enable husband and wife to grow together in a mutually satisfying relationship and then to look beyond their own marriage relationship to help others.
Ignoring this plan leads to isolation and separation between husband and wife. Even when great energy is expended, failure to follow God's blueprint results in wasted effort, bitter disappointment, and in far too many instances, divorce. (Rainey)
In response to this need and under the direction of Pastor Turner, Couples in Christ was created. Couples in Christ seeks to assist couples of all ages in building godly homes. We are committed to building and strengthening the family.
