CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MINISTRIES |

|
|
The Education department at Mesquite Friendship is committed to providing quality Christian education with the goal being to "present every man complete in Christ" (Colossians 1:28). The Biblical concept of the local Church is that the laity is to be equipped to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12). For this to take place believers must be prepared through the teaching of the word, and then be given opportunities to exercise their spiritual gifts and put their Bible knowledge into action, which in turn is their ministry and service to others. Eventually, after a period of growth and development, these believers are equipped for service, which includes the evangelizing and disciplining of others.
Within our fellowship, believers have multiple opportunities to grow in the word of God. Older Christian men in a program called "Royal Ambassadors" mentor young males from the ages of 6-12. All children as well as adults can grow in their walk with God in Sunday School from 9:30 to 10:30 every Sunday. Also, on Wednesday everyone is encouraged to grow in God's word during the weekly Bible Study. Classes are broken down according to age, with the adults studying together and the youth and children divided accordingly.
One of the highlights of the Christian Education ministry is the "Church Institute." This is a Bible school that offers a quality systematic Christian education at an affordable price. The curriculum is provided by the E.T.A. (Evangelical Training Association) which is a group of seminaries that have come together to provide "doctrinally sound and ministry driven courses to assist churches in equipping lay leaders for ministry within the local church." Courses in the Institute are offered on a variety of topics at various times. Classes are held weekday mornings and weekday nights, as well as Saturday mornings. Students receive certificates for each course completed as well as diplomas for each of the three ministry tracks that they complete. Dallas Theological Seminary graduates teach the courses.
If a quality Christian education is what you desire, you've found it. For more information on any of our education ministries contact the church by phone at 972-329-5030.
